-Food for thought 2020 day 186-

Scripture of meditation:
• 2 Timothy 1:7

The Word of God says:

“For not from the east nor from the west nor from the south come promotion and lifting up. [Isa. 14:13.] But God is the Judge! He puts down one and lifts up another.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭75:6-7‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

It’s God’s will to promote His children, for He is the God of progress. So, the question is not whether God wants to promote you, but the question should be, do you really want promotion?

Every promotion comes with a challenge and only the courageous make it through that door.

In Numbers 13, the children of Israel were sent to survey the promised land, and what God told them it was so. However the giants they saw in the land intimidated them and they acted like cowards because they depended on their own ability instead of God’s ability. They soon forgot how He delivered them from the hand of Pharaoh and out of Egypt. They became fearful at their door of promotion and the old generation perished in the wilderness, except for Caleb, Joshua and the young generation.
Please, read numbers 13-14.

The fact that we all want promotion, doesn’t mean all will experience it. There were 12 spies sent to possess the land, but only two out of the 12 made it through their door of promotion. All 12 loved the fruit they saw in the land and wanted to go for it, but fear shipwrecked the faith of 10 out of the 12.

The question is: what was the secret of the 2 spies (Caleb and Joshua)?

They trusted in God’s ability and not on their own wisdom, skill or intelligence. They relied on the entire personality of God. And they also knew He was able to perform that which He is promised.

Therefore Caleb acted boldly:
“Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once and possess it; we are well able to conquer it.”
‭‭Numbers‬ ‭13:30‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Caleb was not depending on his own ability but God’s.

When you are not bold enough to confront your giant, it means you’re relying on your own effort.

Do you want to experience God’s promotion?
Then refuse to fear and be courageous by acting in the direction of God’s Word in every area of your life, knowing He is your Defender and Victory and He (God) will promote you.

Don’t be a coward!

Say it out loud: I am not a coward, so I refuse to fear! The Spirit of power, love and sound mind is dominating my life in Jesus’ Name!

Remember: promotion is for the courageous in Christ.

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.

Think and Act!!!!
