Who shall ever separate us from Christ’s love? Shall suffering and affliction and tribulation? Or calamity and distress? Or persecution or hunger or destitution or peril or sword? Even as it is written, For Thy sake we are put to death all the day long; we are regarded and counted as sheep for the slaughter. [Ps. 44:22.] Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us. For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:35-39 AMPC

Paul said in verse 37: ” we are more than conquerors…”  What a bold statement! He made this statement base on his heavenly identity or perspective in Christ Sometimes in life what we go through in this world may contrast what we are in Christ. That’s is why God wants us to focus on our now position in Christ. That is our heavenly identity due to the fact that we can only win the battle of the mind as we focus on our victory we have in Christ.

The Bible says “IF THEN you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection from the dead], aim at and seek the [rich, eternal treasures] that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. [Ps. 110:1.] And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth. For [as far as this world is concerned] you have died, and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God.” Colossians 3:1-3 AMPC

The things above are what we are in Christ in heavenly realm not what our physical circumstances or challenges is trying to dictate to us. It’s the spiritual that controls the natural not otherwise. Our victory in Christ is based on our knowledge on our now position in Him in the heavenly realm.

That is why we must learn to set our minds always on the things above so that we can walk this earth as Christ walk with a conquering mentality and as a conqueror in every circumstance that comes our way in Jesus name.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father help me walk this earth by your Spirit as conqueror and help me to always set my affections on the things above in Jesus name. Amen
