And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that thou camest not within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash.” 1 Samuel 13:11 KJV (Please read 1 Samuel 13:5-14),

Many people suffer anxiety attacks for the fear of what will become of the situation they are facing in their life. Human inability to figure out what the future holds for them, give birth to the fear they face in their lives.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7 KJV

Saul as a king was rejected by God due to anxiety. The root cause of anxiety is the spirit of fear. Saul was so worried and his worries pushed him to do what he was not supposed to do. Saul was rejected from being a king and his family lost their blessing because of anxiety.

The Bible says that God has prepared a table before us in the presence of our enemies. That is trials, challenges and all other things, which the enemy use to breath fear towards people.. For example terrorist attacks.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: ….. “Psalms 23:5 KJV

That table is God’s Word. He want us to look at His Word and hold fast to it. Instead of us focusing on how we feel or the pressures around us.

Saul lost his throne and blessings because he did not hold fast to God’s instructions (God’s word). He allowed anxiety to rule over him.

You don’t want to be Saul. Give your anxiety to God and know God has the final say..

Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.” Psalms 121:4 KJV (Meditate on this text).

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father,

I thank You for Your Word. I bind the spirit of fear and release soundness of mind. I thank You Lord that my future is secured in You in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
