Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].” Philippians 4:6-8 AMP

In everything we go through in life, especially in the area of hurt, God Almighty wants us to view it under His microscope. We should learn to know that natural human light analyse things basedvl on natural stand point of view. But God’s Light (God’s Word), which is spiritual and not carnal, sees things the way God sees them. The question is: Which light are you looking your situation through? Are you seeing your hurt through God’s light or natural human light?

There it was–the true Light [was then] coming into the world [the genuine, perfect, steadfast Light] that illumines every person. [Isa. 49:6.]”John 1:9 AMP

That’s why the bible says: ” Whatever is true.” The truth that the bible is talking about is Jesus Christ. He is the word of God and the word is truth. Don’t live in a lie by practicing your own truth based on your feelings or your hurt. Live in the light of God’s Word which has the power and ability to bring restoration and healing to your hurting soul. That is the true light for our lives.

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT

Therefore, if God’s word is there to teach us what is true then we must learn to see through it as our light and solution to our hurting situation. We should never substitute it with nothing else.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father I thank You for Your word. Help me by Your Spirit to always see my circumstances through Your light in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen
