Why are you cast down, O my inner self? And why should you moan over me and be disquieted within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall yet praise Him, Who is the help of my [sad] countenance, and my God.” Psalm 43:5 AMP

The spirit of depression if not recognise in its early stages it can change from hurt to anger and from anger to revenge and when revenge is hidden it will change from revenge to suicide. At this stage the individual is blaming his all herself for everything and is unable to forgive his or herself and also unable to accept forgiveness also. Also most people at this point has lost hope and they see no point of living. So all what they’re thinking is to die or take your life. A good examples is Judas Iscariot the person that betrayed Jesus and Ahitophel one of davids counsellors.

When Judas, His betrayer, saw that [Jesus] was condemned, [Judas was afflicted in mind and troubled for his former folly; and] with remorse [with little more than a selfish dread of the consequences] he brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders, [Exod. 21:32.] Saying, I have sinned in betraying innocent blood. They replied, What is that to us? See to that yourself. And casting the pieces of silver [forward] into the [Holy Place of the sanctuary of the] temple, he departed; and he went off and hanged himself.” Matthew 27:3‭-‬5 AMP

We can see that Judas repented but his repentance was not towards God Almighty and also we can that he could not forgive himself. Every true repentance leads to salvation which brings about deliverance. So whenever we can’t forgive ourselves or others and also let go off our past and choose to turn our hearts back unto God Almighty and move on we can find ourselves in such a place if care is not taken.

We can also see Ahitophel do the same thing.

But when Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his donkey, went home to his city, put his household in order, and hanged himself and died, and was buried in the tomb of his father.” 2 Samuel 17:23 AMP

It’s about time we know there is hope in God and we serve a God whose plan for us is of good and not of evil to give us hope and a great future. Let us turn our heart back to Him and allow Him to heal and restore us again in Jesus Christ mighty name.

Let’s pray together;

Heavenly Father,  I thank You for Your word. Help me to forgive myself and also forgive others and also accept your forgiveness. Restore unto me the joy of my salvation. My father renew my strength to move forward in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen
