Why are you cast down, O my inner self? And why should you moan over me and be disquieted within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall yet praise Him, Who is the help of my [sad] countenance, and my God.”Psalm 43:5 AMP

Many today are hurting because of false hopes or the confidence they use to have in something or someone turn out not to be what they expected, so they are disappointed.

Now God Almighty does not command us to hold fast to things or people, but He told us to trust Him or trust Him to work in the things or people we are dealing with.

Inasmuch then as we have a great High Priest Who has [already] ascended and passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession [of faith in Him].” Hebrews 4:14 AMP

So when our confidence in God is shifted from God to things or people we will end up being disappointed. We bring a curse to ourselves, because we are silently practicing idolatry.

Thus says the Lord: Cursed [with great evil] is the strong man who trusts in and relies on frail man, making weak [human] flesh his arm, and whose mind and heart turn aside from the Lord. For he shall be like a shrub or a person naked and destitute in the desert; and he shall not see any good come, but shall dwell in the parched places in the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land. [Most] blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, and relies on the Lord, and whose hope and confidence the Lord is. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river; and it shall not see and fear when heat comes; but its leaf shall be green. It shall not be anxious and full of care in the year of drought, nor shall it cease yielding fruit.” Jeremiah 17:5-8 AMP

So instead of staying in the place of hurt and anger. We ought to repent and ask God Almighty to heal us and also forgive and take the responsibility of our fault.

Heavenly Father I thank You for Your word. I repent for trusting the arm of flesh. Help me Lord to move forward and also I forgive myself and the person that did me wrong. Thank you Lord for giving me another chance in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen.
