You offspring of vipers! How can you speak good things when you are evil (wicked)? For out of the fullness (the overflow, the superabundance) of the heart the mouth speaks. The good man from his inner good treasure flings forth good things, and the evil man out of his inner evil storehouse flings forth evil things.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭12:34-35‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Our words and actions are determined by what is in our heart. So when our life is governed by God’s Word, we will also act in that direction. That is why Satan attacks our heart and mind through circumstances and people,  because he wants to steal the word from our heart.

Sin takes it root in the heart of men before outward manifestation. There is no such thing like it just happened. Any outward actions in our lives is as a result of our meditations. Our meditation is an act of exercising our will to think and act in particular direction.

And He said, What comes out of a man is what makes a man unclean and renders [him] unhallowed. For from within, [that is] out of the hearts of men, come base and wicked thoughts, sexual immorality, stealing, murder, adultery, Coveting (a greedy desire to have more wealth), dangerous and destructive wickedness, deceit; unrestrained (indecent) conduct; an evil eye (envy), slander (evil speaking, malicious misrepresentation, abusiveness), pride (the sin of an uplifted heart against God and man), foolishness (folly, lack of sense, recklessness, thoughtlessness). All these evil [purposes and desires] come from within, and they make the man unclean and render him unhallowed.” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭7:20-23‬ ‭AMPC

That is why is our responsibility to take heed on our inner meditations.

Today makes sure your meditation is in line with God’s Word and refuse to allow satanic evil suggestions or thoughts to overcome you.

The Bible commend us to submit ourselves to God and resist the devil and he will flee from us. Meditating on God’s Word helps us to effectively submit to God and resist the devil.

Let’s pray together

Heavenly Father. I thank You for Your Word. Help me by Your Spirit to live for You through my words and actions in Jesus name. Amen.
