“For if because of one man’s trespass (lapse, offense) death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive [God’s] overflowing grace (unmerited favor) and the free gift of righteousness [putting them into right standing with Himself] reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).”

We are here to reign as kings in Christ in this life through our union and fellowship with Christ in His sovereign power and reaching its fullness hereafter. But without enduring affliction as part of the package of being born again we can’t reign with Jesus Christ. It was because Jesus Christ suffered afflictions to the point of death that is given us the power to reign with Him.

“And after He had appeared in human form, He abased and humbled Himself [still further] and carried His obedience to the extreme of death, even the death of the cross! Therefore [because He stooped so low] God has highly exalted Him and has freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name,”

We are here to follow the very footsteps of Jesus Christ as His disciples.

He endure affliction so that we may reign with Him and also that through the power of The Holy Spirit within us we also should endure affliction to reign and continue to reign with Christ in this life and that which is to come.

The Bible says “If we endure, we shall also reign with Him. If we deny and disown and reject Him, He will also deny and disown and reject us.” 2 Timothy‬ ‭2:12‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

We must train our mind to endure hardships because it’s through this endurance that gives us the right to reign with him now and the future.

Let’s pray together; Heavenly Father, thank You for using my suffering for the gospel sake to qualify me to reign with Christ in Jesus name. Amen
