For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians‬ ‭6:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In dealing with issues in life which our adversary is brought to us, we must learn to always lay the ax at the root and not to focus on the surface. That is what we see. Every challenge we see in the physical has a root cause. And from our previous lessons we found out that the root cause of our problems is not the people, but Satan and his cohorts.

Another thing to know in spiritual warfare is that after we have located our enemy. We must also know where the battle is taken place. In every natural war there is a place where the fight takes place. It’s the same with spiritual warfare.

One of the places where Satan is warring against us is the heart and the mind.

And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.” Mark‬ ‭4:15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The enemy attacks our heart, because that is where we receive God’s word. To steal the word of God from it. That’s why we must learn to meditate and practice the word of God for it to benefit us.

The heart is used figuratively for feelings, the will and even intellect; likewise the center of anything. The heart is the part of perception, knowledge. It is also the part that knows and expresses what it feels through the soul. Hence meditation and practicing of the word trains your heart which is your spirit man for warfare.

Today match your circumstances with what God’s Word says about it. Meditate on God’s word, not your circumstances, and put it in practice by submitting to the word and then take and offensive action by binding the enemy and speaking over your circumstances. Prophesy God’s Word over it in Jesus name. Please read Psalms 1:1-3 and Joshua 1:8.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your word. Help me by Your Spirit to always meditate and practice the Word in Jesus name. Amen
