Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever]. [That is] because the mind of the flesh [with its carnal thoughts and purposes] is hostile to God, for it does not submit itself to God’s Law; indeed it cannot. So then those who are living the life of the flesh [catering to the appetites and impulses of their carnal nature] cannot please or satisfy God, or be acceptable to Him. But you are not living the life of the flesh, you are living the life of the Spirit, if the [Holy] Spirit of God [really] dwells within you [directs and controls you]. But if anyone does not possess the [Holy] Spirit of Christ, he is none of His [he does not belong to Christ, is not truly a child of God]. [Rom. 8:14.]” Romans‬ ‭8:6-9‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

We can’t respond carnally to our circumstances and expect a change in our circumstances. The Bible says:

For the god of this world has blinded the unbelievers’ minds [that they should not discern the truth], preventing them from seeing the illuminating light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ (the Messiah), Who is the Image and Likeness of God.” ‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:4‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Satan is our boss when it to reasoning or living a carnal lifestyle. It was due to his carnality that he was cast from the presence of God. And he is so outrageous because he knows he has but a short time.

Therefore be glad (exult), O heavens and you that dwell in them! But woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in fierce anger (fury), because he knows that he has [only] a short time [left]! [Isa. 44:23; 49:13.]” Revelation‬ ‭12:12‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

So he spent his time deceiving many by causing to act carnally or respond to our circumstances carnally .

Hence we are commanded to live the life of the Spirit or we should walk in the Spirit so that we should not fulfill the works the flesh.

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” Galatians‬ ‭5:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

That’s why the Bible says in Romans 8:9 “we’re not the flesh but in the Spirit.”.The flesh only becomes active and alive when we set our affection on base things here on earth instead on the things above where we are seated together with Christ base on our heavenly identity or perspectives.

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.” Colossians‬ ‭3:1-3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Today God wants us to change our perspective towards our challenges and learn to view and deal with it God’s’ way by setting affection on the things above and also view it base on our heavenly perspectives in Christ( that’s who we are in Christ not how we view ourselves in our own eyesight).

Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Word. And based on my heavenly perspective I resist and rebuke you Satan in Jesus name. Amen.
