Leave no [such] room or foothold for the devil [give no opportunity to him].” Ephesians‬ ‭4:27‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

We must learn to control our thought life through the power of the Holy Spirit and refuse to give no room to the devil in our thoughts. God Almighty has given to us the authority and power to resist devil
anytime he shows up with his suggestions.

So be subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you.” ‭James‬ ‭4:7‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

This text does not happen automatic. We must first surrender our thoughts to God’s Word in other for us to resist the devil. That is why the Lord in His Word told how to think and what to think about.

For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].” ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭AMPC‬

The truth in this text is the Word and not what we feel. Most of the time we want the word to line up with our feelings instead of our feelings lining up with God’s Word. As we practice lining up our feelings to God’s Word and seeing God’s Word as the absolute Truth in our lives. Then our victory over the wiles of Satan against our mind is inevitable in Jesus name.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your word. Help me by Your Spirit to line up my thoughts or feelings to your word in Jesus name. Amen
