For sin shall not [any longer] exert dominion over you, since now you are not under Law [as
slaves], but under grace [as subjects of God’s favor and mercy].” Romans‬ ‭6:14‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

One of the reasons why God Almighty gave us His Spirit is to help us live our lives here on earth as overcomers without being dominated by sin. However, this doesn’t not happened automatically without our cooperation with the Holy Spirit. It’s our duty to put off the works of the flesh and put on Christ to walk in victory.

Besides this you know what [a critical] hour this is, how it is high time now for you to wake up out of your sleep (rouse to reality). For salvation (final deliverance) is nearer to us now than when we first believed (adhered to, trusted in, and relied on Christ, the Messiah). The night is far gone and the day is almost here. Let us then drop (fling away) the works and deeds of darkness and put on the [full] armor of light. Let us live and conduct ourselves honorably and becomingly as in the [open light of] day, not in reveling (carousing) and drunkenness, not in immorality and debauchery (sensuality and licentiousness), not in quarreling and jealousy. But clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah), and make no provision for [indulging] the flesh [put a stop to thinking about the evil cravings
of your physical nature] to [gratify its] desires (lusts).” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭13:11-14‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

The armor of light is the Word of God and the word of God is Jesus. We must renew our mind with God’s Word and make a deliberate decision to put off the works of the flesh to experience victory in warfare.

For example the Word says ” when you stand praying forgive so that your sins will be forgiven.”

We should know that unforgiveness is a spirit that works against God’s purpose in the life of a believer. God wants us to bind that spirit and forgive so that we can release ourselves from bitterness and hate and also live a healthy Christian life. Also unforgiveness can cause sickness to our bodies and hinder our prayers from being answered. That is why we must constantly make no provision for the flesh( carnal
mindset or way of doing things) and be cloth with Christ.

Today live the life of a winner and not a victim in Jesus name.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word , I refuse to live a life of a victim by putting putting off the deeds of the flesh and I put on Christ this day for Christ is my now identity in Jesus name. Amen
