I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]” John‬ ‭16:33‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

The Word of God is written not only to guide us but to become our strength. It’s also written to prepare our mind from the things to come so that we would not be taken by surprise.

Jesus clearly tells us here that in this life and in this world we should expect temptations, trials, persecutions so that we can be on a watch over our heart and mind. It’s our duty and responsibility to guard our heart and mind so that it will not be overwhelmed by the fiery trials which war against our souls.

Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.” Proverbs‬ ‭4:23‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Leave no [such] room or foothold for the devil [give no opportunity to him].” ‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:27‬ ‭AMPC‬

It’s our responsibility to give no place to the devil in our thoughts (mind) where Satan unleashes his attacks.

The Bible did not stop there but Jesus Continued to say” in me you may have peace ……. ” and also said “cheer up for you have overcome the world……”

Please, we should think on these things. The word of the Lord did not say the world and its evil in it have overcome us but we have overcome it.

Please let’s make this confession together ” I am an overcome in Christ Jesus. I am a victor and not victim. My God is seeing me through every challenge in my life in Jesus name”.

Today remember we are more than a conqueror irrespective of the challenges we maybe facing. We should not loose sight of our victory in Christ. We should Stand in the faith of Christ not our own faith
and rebuke the enemy in the storms of life in Jesus name .

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father; I thank You for Your Word. I rebuke every storm that enemy is release against my life and I command it to be still and thank you Lord for given me victory in Jesus name.
Amen
