Now if you are ready when you hear the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, dulcimer or bagpipe, and every kind of music to fall down and worship the image which I have made, very good. But if you do not worship, you shall be cast at once into the midst of a burning fiery furnace, and who is that god who can deliver you out of my hands? Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, it is not necessary for us to answer you on this point. If our God Whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, He will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image which you have set up! [Job 13:15; Acts 4:19, 20.]” Daniel‬ ‭3:15-18‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

God is looking for people who has made up their mind to serve Him not sin irrespective of the temptation, trials or persecution that comes their way.

We most of the time have unconscious programmed our mind to function in a particular way. That is why we talk and act in a particular way.

The secret of walking in victory over all the power of the enemy, is to reset our mind and also make up our mind to serve God, irrespective of our circumstances.

It’s expedient that we learn to make God’s word and not our problems our meditation. Our meditation is link to our imaginations, thoughts and confessions. For example when you see someone that is complaining, the complaints of that person is linked to the meditation of the person.

The only reason why the Hebrew boys did not complain but magnify God in the midst of their challenges, is because God, not their problems, was their meditation and also they know who God is.

And this is why I am suffering as I do. Still I am not ashamed, for I know (perceive, have knowledge of, and am acquainted with) Him Whom I have believed (adhered to and trusted in and relied on), and I am [positively] persuaded that He is able to guard and keep that which has been entrusted to me and which I have committed [to Him] until that day.” 2 Timothy‬ ‭1:12‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

They also remembered the past victories God gave to them and their forefathers when He brought them out of Egypt. This is how king David puts it

Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s. The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.” Psalms‬ ‭103:1-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Today let your meditation be God’s word and also remember the things He did for you in the past. How He took out of tight places or difficult situations and turn your life around in Jesus name.

Let’s pray together:
Heavenly Father; I thank You for Your word. I bless Your name for all You have done for me and I thank You in advance for delivering me out of my present circumstances in Jesus name. Amen
