Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever]. [That is] because the mind of the flesh [with its carnal thoughts and purposes] is hostile to God, for it does not submit itself to God’s Law; indeed it cannot. So then those who are living the life of the flesh [catering to the appetites and impulses of their carnal nature] cannot please or satisfy God, or be acceptable to Him.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:6-8‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

We can’t never defeat the devil when we allow our carnal mind to dictate to us or govern by the mind of the flesh.

The reason being is that Satan is the god of this world system and lived more than 2000 years ago before we came on the scene. So in terms of natural human reasoning you can’t never defeat him.

For the god of this world has blinded the unbelievers’ minds [that they should not discern the truth], preventing them from seeing the illuminating light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ (the Messiah), Who is the Image and Likeness of God.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:4‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Hence the only way to defeat him is to embrace the mind of Christ which is the wisdom of God. Therefore we have to learn to constantly yield ourselves and also embrace the mind of Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit to function in absolute victory over wiles of Satan against our mind.

Today embrace God’s Word for what it says and make your absolute truth above all oughts in Jesus name. Give yourself wholly to it that is how you operate in the powerful mind of Christ.

Heavenly Father I thank you for your word. Help me by Your Spirit to constantly function in the powerful mind of Christ in Jesus name. Amen
