So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.” Romans 10:17 NLT
So if faith comes by God’s spoken Word to you, then we can’t do without God’s Word. We can never receive anything from God without faith.
We miss out a lot if we don’t study God’s Word for Him to speak to our heart. And also it’s not a enough if you read the Word once. It’s the constant studying of God’s word that causes faith to be produced.
That’s why the Bible says faith comes by “hearing and hearing the word of God.” The word (Word) in this scripture is rhema. The spoken Word of God directly to you. So the Bible did not say faith comes by your fears, feelings, or someone’s nice idea or experience.
Most people never receive from God, or lack faith, because they don’t make time to study God’s Word for themselves.
It is the abiding of God’s word in your heart that will cause you to ask God something in Faith and receive your answer.
But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!” John 15:7 NLT
So God’s Word abiding in you will cause you to ask according to His abiding Word in you and you will receive your answer. So get to God’s Word.
