Scripture of meditation:
• Psalm 119:130

It’s easy to follow God’s Spirit when the eyes of your understanding are flooded with God’s light.

“The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:130‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The word “entrance” is a Hebrew word called “Pethach” which means disclosure or revelation. The scripture is saying that the disclosure or revelation of God’s Word gives light to your mind. When your mind is flooded with the light of God’s Word it’s easier to walk in the Spirit.

That is why the Bible says:

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:105‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When God’s Word takes hold of you, it becomes your lamp and light. It becomes your daily guide. For without it, it’s difficult for you to take the step of faith in the things God is leading you.

That is why Paul prayed that the eyes of your understanding be flooded with light so that you will see and do what God expects you to do (Ephesians 1:18).

Remember: walking in the Spirit has to do with the light of God’s Word dominating you.

Open your spirit for the disclosure of God’s Word! For it’s the letter that kills, but the Spirit that gives life.
