All the commandments which I command you this day you shall be watchful to do, that you may live and multiply and go in and possess the land which the Lord swore to give to your fathers. And you shall [earnestly] remember all the way which the Lord your God led you these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and to prove you, to know what was in your [mind and] heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not. And He humbled you and allowed you to hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you recognize and personally know that man does not live by bread only, but man lives by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord.” Deuteronomy 8:1-3 AMP

Persecution gives birth to humility. If not of the trials and challenges that we face in life, we will not be humble enough to allow the will of God to prevail in our lives. Nobody can walk with God when you’re not humble. Our flesh has the tendency of being of being prideful, which is the complete opposite of the nature of God in us. We can only be exalted by God Almighty to the place He ordained for us when we walk in humility.

Therefore humble yourselves [demote, lower yourselves in your own estimation] under the mighty hand of God, that in due time He may exalt you,” 1 Peter 5:6 AMP

Moreover, humility gives birth to exaltation by God and is also the complete opposite of pride which leads to destruction.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father I thank You for Your word. Thank You for Helping to be humble so that your will for my life will be realised in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen
