-True Happiness-

“Happy are those who know they are spiritually poor; the Kingdom of heaven belongs to them!”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:3‬ ‭GNT‬‬

The Bible says: “ … for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them…”. This is uncommon, that you receive by being poor in the spirit or taking a humble position.

“The curse of the Lord is in and on the house of the wicked, but He declares blessed (joyful and favored with blessings) the home of the just and consistently righteous. [Ps. 37:22; Zech. 5:4; Mal. 2:2.]”

The righteous and just in Christ are those whom by faith trust completely in the finished works of Jesus Christ and are dependent, without any reserves, on Him. God’s Favour is always with such persons because they have humbled themselves before their Maker. Many people pray for favour but as God’s children, favour came to us the day we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. For you to continuously experience God’s Favour in your life, you must be little in your own sight and embrace the bigness of God. In other words, practice humbling yourself before God and man.

That is why the Bible says:

“If I shut up heaven so no rain falls, or if I command locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people, If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.”
‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭7:13-14‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

If you noticed, every time you accept you are helpless, being poor in the spirit attracts God’s Favour that gives the victory over your circumstances. It’s no wonder that the proud end up losing or be disgraced and the humble are constantly being exalted.

For this reason, Apostle James admonishes us to submit ourselves to God (His Word), and then resist the devil and he will flee from us (James 4:7). That means, whenever you submit yourself to God, He gives you favour to obtain victory over your enemies. In other words, you will receive every heavenly backup to obtain victory due to the fact that the Kingdom of Heaven is yours.

Remember, God’s Favour is for the poor in the spirit.
