Therefore I tell you, stop being perpetually uneasy (anxious and worried) about your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink; or about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life greater [in quality] than food, and the body [far above and more excellent] than clothing?”

The enemy uses our circumstances to attack us. We are not responsible for our own provision. It’s God’s will to meet our needs so that we can do His will. The reason we do not need to worry is because is God’s duty to meet our needs. For instance, just imagine a new born baby.

It’s not the duty of the baby to provide for himself or herself but the parents duty. Also, without the necessary nutrients given to the baby, the child will not develop . It’s same with our relationship with God. He supplies what we need for proper functioning. That is why we must depend and trust His faithfulness for our daily circumstances to be met by His Almightiness and superabundance.

For this reason, He told us to be busy with kingdom business and not our circumstances.

But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.”
