Before I formed you in the womb I knew [and] approved of you [as My chosen instrument], and before you were born I separated and set you apart, consecrating you; [and] I appointed you as a prophet to the nations. [Exod. 33:12; Isa. 49:1, 5; Rom. 8:29.] Then said I, Ah, Lord God! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am only a youth. [Exod. 4:10; 6:12, 30; I Kings 3:7.] But the Lord said to me, Say not, I am only a youth; for you shall go to all to whom I shall send you, and whatever I command you, you shall speak.”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭1:5-7‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

The problem with most of us is in our confession. What we say will definitely shape our future. Jeremiah’s confession was base on his ability and not God’s. We admonished by God’s Word to say what He is saying and not our ability

Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!] [Josh. 1:5.] So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm [I will not fear or dread or be terrified]. What can man do to me? [Ps. 27:1;118:6.]”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13:5-6‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

The reason being we are only trapped by our own words and what we confess first affects our way of thinking and actions and secondly ,it also affects the one that hears it. Our words are either filled with life or death depending on what we say.

You are snared with the words of your lips, you are caught by the speech of your mouth.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭6:2‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life]. [Matt. 12:37.]”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭18:21‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

We must learn to confess what God is saying and refuse to say anything contrary to His Word for our lives.

For this reason the Lord said to Jeremiah “say not “.

Today refuse to say or confess anything contrary to God’s Word for your irrespective of your circumstances and let God’s Word dominate your heart, mind and tongue in Jesus name.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father thank You for Your Word and Help me by Your Spirit to line up my confession to Yours in Jesus name. Amen
