When they had come, he looked on Eliab [the eldest son] and said, Surely the Lord’s anointed is before Him. But the Lord said to Samuel, Look not on his appearance or at the height of his stature, for I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees; for man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”
‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭16:6-7‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Until we learn to see things the way God sees them we will continuously limit God’s work in our lives. Samuel nearly missed it because he looked from natural stand point. That is the surface but God was looking at the heart of the matter.

The reason why God gave us His word, The Holy Spirit , and His Angels and sometimes ministers to us in dreams ,visions and prophecies is to help us see things the way He sees them.

This is the reason we must build a solid relationship with God so that He will reveal to us by His Spirit His plan and purpose for us.

But, on the contrary, as the Scripture says, What eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not entered into the heart of man, [all that] God has prepared (made and keeps ready) for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him and gratefully recognizing the benefits He has bestowed]. [Isa. 64:4; 65:17.] Yet to us God has unveiled and revealed them by and through His Spirit, for the [Holy] Spirit searches diligently, exploring and examining everything, even sounding the profound and bottomless things of God [the divine counsels and things hidden and beyond man’s scrutiny].

Now we have not received the spirit [that belongs to] the world, but the [Holy] Spirit Who is from God, [given to us] that we might realize and comprehend and appreciate the gifts [of divine favor and blessing so freely and lavishly] bestowed on us by God.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭2:9-10, 12‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Furthermore, the reason why we magnify our circumstances above God is because we see it from natural stand point. But God wants us to see it in light of His word or what He is saying and not how we feel or thinks.

Today allow God’s Word to be your guiding light in facing your challenges and making decisions in Jesus name.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father I thank You for Your Word. Let your Word by the lamp unto my feet and light on my path in Jesus name. Amen
