• “And the angel said to her, Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found grace (free, spontaneous, absolute favor and loving-kindness) with God. And listen! You will become pregnant and will give birth to a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus. He will be great (eminent) and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give to Him the throne of His forefather David, And He will reign over the house of Jacob throughout the ages; and of His reign there will be no end. [Isa. 9:6, 7; Dan. 2:44.] And Mary said to the angel, How can this be, since I have no [intimacy with any man as a] husband? Then the angel said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you [like a shining cloud]; and so the holy (pure, sinless) Thing (Offspring) which shall be born of you will be called the Son of God. The Word of God is a spirit . So we can only understand it spiritually. That is why its foolishness to the carnal believer in Christ and also to the man in the world.

“But the natural, nonspiritual man does not accept or welcome or admit into his heart the gifts and teachings and revelations of the Spirit of God, for they are folly (meaningless nonsense) to him; and he is incapable of knowing them [of progressively recognizing, understanding, and becoming better acquainted with them] because they are spiritually discerned and estimated and appreciated.”

Therefore, He gave us the Holy Spirit to help us know or spiritually discern things as we yield to Him.

“For what person perceives (knows and understands) what passes through a man’s thoughts except the man’s own spirit within him? Just so no one discerns (comes to know and comprehend) the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have not received the spirit [that belongs to] the world, but the [Holy] Spirit Who is from God, [given to us] that we might realize and comprehend and appreciate the gifts [of divine favor and blessing so freely and lavishly] bestowed on us by God.”

Mary said “ how can this be” because her natural mind could not grasp the fact of being pregnant without a man.

Our walk with God is not by might not by power. God is not depending on your strength,wisdom, education or money but He is depending on Himself to bring to pass that which He has promised us. Thus, instead of asking or trying figure out the manifestation of logos and rhema word of God we should surrender to it trusting God to perform in our lives as he has promised.

Today, instead of questioning God’s word like Mary did. Let us learn to say so be it unto me according to the word of the Lord in Jesus name.
