And when the wine was all gone, the mother of Jesus said to Him, They have no more wine! Jesus said to her, [Dear] woman, what is that to you and to Me? [What do we have in common? Leave it to Me.] My time (hour to act) has not yet come. [Eccl. 3:1.] His mother said to the servants, Whatever He says to you, do it.”
‭‭John‬ ‭2:3-5‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

My emphasis in this manna is doing what Jesus says.

Faith is a fact but faith is an act. Our walk with God entails listening, knowing and doing without which we would never experience the Word.

That is why in the book of James says:

So get rid of all uncleanness and the rampant outgrowth of wickedness, and in a humble (gentle, modest) spirit receive and welcome the Word which implanted and rooted [in your hearts] contains the power to save your souls. But be doers of the Word [obey the message], and not merely listeners to it, betraying yourselves [into deception by reasoning contrary to the Truth]. For if anyone only listens to the Word without obeying it and being a doer of it, he is like a man who looks carefully at his [own] natural face in a mirror; For he thoughtfully observes himself, and then goes off and promptly forgets what he was like.” James‬ ‭1:21-24‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

What we read from God’s word that is who we are. The Bible likened the Word of God to a mirror that we look ourselves. In other words, our present circumstances maybe a direct opposite to God’s Word when we read it. But as we listen and put into practice what we have read, our circumstances will change and completely reflects what God’s Word is saying. That is why we say and do what the Word is saying and not our circumstances.

Now there were six waterpots of stone standing there, as the Jewish custom of purification (ceremonial washing) demanded, holding twenty to thirty gallons apiece. Jesus said to them, Fill the waterpots with water. So they filled them up to the brim. Then He said to them, Draw some out now and take it to the manager of the feast [to the one presiding, the superintendent of the banquet]. So they took him some. And when the manager tasted the water just now turned into wine, not knowing where it came from–though the servants who had drawn the water knew–he called the bridegroom” John‬ ‭2:6-9‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

It was in their obedience of the instruction given to them by the master that brings about the miraculous and a change.

It is good hear God’s word but we experience the miracle working ability of the Word in the doing.

For this reason, Jesus’s mother said to his disciples “ whatever He says to you, do it”

Hallelujah!!!!!!

Lets pray together:

Heavenly Father thank You for Your Word. Help me by Your Spirit to always practice the Word in Jesus name. Amen
