Let the word [spoken by] Christ (the Messiah) have its home [in your hearts and minds] and dwell in you in [all its] richness, as you teach and admonish and train one another in all insight and intelligence and wisdom [in spiritual things, and as you sing] psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, making melody to God with [His] grace in your hearts.” Colossians 3:16 AMPC

We can’t really praise and worship God effectively when we do not allow God’s word to dwell in us. That means allow God’s word to have its home in our hearts and minds.  That means we must learn to refuse anything that is contrary to the word of God. For instance;

For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith.” 1 John 5:4 AMPC

The bible says ” ….this is the victory that overcome the world even our faith”.

Now Jesus Christ is our Faith and He has already overcome the devil on our behalf.  It is our Faith in what Jesus Christ has done already that will cause us to experience the victory not on our ability.  We were saved by the faith of Jesus Christ not on our own faith. So trying to face or defeat the devil with our own faith can be very frustrating. God wants us to face Him with the faith of Christ. The faith of Christ is based on what Jesus has already done. We must believe in it and give ourselves to it. That’s how we experience the victory.

For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God; Not because of works [not the fulfillment of the Law’s demands], lest any man should boast. [It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself.]” Ephesians 2:8-9 AMPC

Therefore, we must learn to accept what Jesus Christ has done for us as absolute truth. Thank  God for the victory and set our mind on it and refuse to focus on our circumstances . That is how the victory becomes a reality to us.

Today celebrate your victory in Christ. Jesus Christ did it all for us. He won the battle that we have the victory.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father I thank You for Your word. Thank You for my victory in Christ in Jesus name. Amen.
