No one is able to come to Me unless the Father Who sent Me attracts and draws him and gives him the desire to come to Me, and [then] I will raise him up [from the dead] at the last day.” John 6:44 AMP
We can’t be intimate with God with our own methods. God Almighty is responsible to pulling us to be intimate with Him through His unfathomable wisdom and knowledge. Our duty is to respond. That’s why the many frustrations in our intimacy with God Almighty.
Draw me! We will run after you! The king brings me into his apartments! We will be glad and rejoice in you! We will recall [when we were favored with] your love, more fragrant than wine. The upright [are not offended at your choice, but sincerely] love you.” Song of Solomon 1:4 AMP
It’s in God’s power and ability to cause us to be intimate with Him. For example when we were all sinners, it was Christ that died for us and reached out to us to free us from the bondage of satan so that we can truly be intimate with God. This factor did not change because you are born again. For without the power of the Holy Spirit at work in us it’s difficult to be intimate with God.
[Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight.” Philippians 2:13 AMP
It’s in His ability all we have to do is to surrender.
