Walking in God’s Love should not be any struggle as we learn to follow the Holy Spirit.

Question: how do we follow the Holy Spirit?

Answer: practice the Word, for the Word and the Holy Spirit agree.

“So there are three witnesses in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are One; and there are three witnesses on the earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree [are in unison; their testimony coincides].”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:7-8‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Therefore, whenever we do what the Word says, we’re following the Holy Spirit.

For example, the Word of God says: “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him and let it drop (leave it, let it go), in order that your Father Who is in heaven may also forgive you your [own] failings and shortcomings and let them drop. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your failings and shortcomings.”

When we rebel against this scripture, then it’s no more the devil fighting us, but it’s us fighting against the Holy Spirit. That’s why we feel a sharp pain within us (2 Corinthians 5:14).

The Holy Spirit has been given to us by God to enable us to do the things our flesh won’t permit us to do.

“For I know that nothing good dwells within me, that is, in my flesh. I can will what is right, but I cannot perform it. [I have the intention and urge to do what is right, but no power to carry it out.]”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭7:18‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

The Holy Spirit has been given to help us rule over our flesh and also to live the life of a believer in Christ. That is why we don’t function according to the dictates of our flesh, but of the Spirit (Romans 6:14).

The simplest way to live by the Spirit is to practice the Word. God will always give you the power to do what He says (Philippians 2:13). This means there is no excuse for not practicing the Word. Every act of disobedience is rebellion.

Remember: you can’t walk in God’s Love without following the Holy Spirit.
