It’s impossible to walk in love without locating it in yourself. The love of God is not a good feeling you get; though feeling good is an outward expression of God’s love to you or others. Whenever we walk in love, the person who receives it feels good and vice versa the giver too. Having this in mind, you should know the love of God is of the heart (spirit) and not of the head (soul).

God said: “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭8:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We are the spiritual Israel and the law of God is Love. God inscribed His law in our hearts but He had to put it in our mind as well.

The mind only receives information through smell, sight, touch, taste, and hearing. It’s not enough for the mind to receive information once, but repeatedly for it to register. And the information received must be practiced for it to be seated in the mind.

Thus, God’s love in our heart can only be registered in our mind through meditation and practicing The Word of God. That is why it is a process and sometimes difficult to express it consistently to others because our soul is not used to it. The mind must be conformed to the newness of life you receive in Christ so that God’s love in you will fully manifest in your soul and body.

Having said the above, you must remember “the putting of God’s law in the mind” is a process and it will take not just hearers of the Word, but doers of the Word to express God’s love unreservedly.

A keeper of God’s law (Love) is a doer of the Word and not a hearer only.

Do your best to consistently walk in love, because walking in love is a proof we know God and we’re of Him.

“Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:7-8‬ ‭KJV‬‬
