Today we read:
Joshua 7-9

• 1 John 4:18

We must learn to stand against the spirit of fear these last days. The reason why many still battle with fear is because they do not understand the Love of God.

The question is: If God Almighty saved us through His Son Jesus while we were ungodly, why will he not protect us and keep us from evil, now that we are His children (Romans 8:32)?

That is why the Bible says: “Who shall ever separate us from Christ’s love? Shall suffering and affliction and tribulation? Or calamity and distress? Or persecution or hunger or destitution or peril or sword? Even as it is written, For Thy sake we are put to death all the day long; we are regarded and counted as sheep for the slaughter. [Ps. 44:22.] Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us. For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

We can all admit that walking in love will cause us to incur some casualties, but as we persist in it, same as Jesus, we will experience the victory that is already ours in Christ.

We should not forget that it’s because of Jesus’ love for the world that we are saved. Therefore, the same love that saved us still has and carries the power to deliver us from evil. For this reason, we don’t need to fear (because of casualties incurred) to walk in love or continue to love people, because perfect love cast out all fear.

It’s our persistence in walking in love despite adversity, that will bring about deliverance to our loved ones, friends and people in our sphere of influence.

Remember, love is stronger than death. So let us persist in walking in God’s love and refuse to shrink back or be afraid of the outcome. The outcome is guaranteed; love never fails… We only win and bring deliverance to people by walking in God’s love.
