• 1 Corinthians 14:14

The reason why it’s important for you to train your spirit to follow the Holy Spirit is that your mind always wants to dominate your spirit man. So praying in the Spirit will silence your mind and it will be easy for you to follow the Holy Spirit.

“For if I pray in an [unknown] tongue, my spirit [by the Holy Spirit within me] prays, but my mind is unproductive [it bears no fruit and helps nobody].”

It’s important to know your mind shuts down when it doesn’t understand something. The moment your mind becomes quiet, it’s easy to translate the information from your spirit man to your mind for understanding through the help of the Holy Spirit.

That is why is very important you practice praying in the Spirit always.

“But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit;”
‭‭Jude‬ ‭1:20‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

It will enlighten your darkness (in your mind) and cause you to make both spiritual and natural progress in life.

Remember: the best way to shut down your mind, so that you can clearly hear from God, is praying in the Holy Spirit.

Pray more in tongues!
