Matthew 21-23
Genesis 21-23

-Food for thought 2020 day 106-

Scripture of meditation:
• Proverbs 11:14

“For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:14‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

The Spirit of God also guides us through counseling. Remember, He is the Spirit of counsel and might.

“And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever–”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:16‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

That means it’s possible that God uses counselors placed in our life to give us counsel. It’s very expedient that you listen when advised by a counselor.

“Where no wise guidance is, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭11:14‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

“The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he who listens to counsel is wise. [Prov. 3:7; 9:9; 21:2.]”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭12:15‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

The truth of the matter is, you can be *judged* by God, not unto condemnation, but by being chastised by Him for not listening to wise counsel or by getting yourself into a mess. That is why you must respect and appreciate the duty of a counselor in your life. As a matter of fact, having the right counselor will help you escape many casualties in your life. Don’t always expect them to tell you what you want to hear. They’re placed in your life to point you to The Way which is Jesus Christ and not to feed your carnal appetite.

Therefore, don’t be a fool by refusing to harken to their advice and remember that the Spirit of God in you will testify with your spirit of the counsel you received from your counselor. Your mind may have trouble with the counsel, but your spirit knows if it’s right or wrong. The bottom line is, the Spirit of God uses counselors to help you avoid unnecessary errors or making wrong decisions.

We all need a mature counselor in Christ in our lives to help us in our decision making and our walk with Christ.

Remember: God also uses counselors in Christ to help guide you by His Spirit.

Listen to your counselors and be wise!

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.
