I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]” John‬ ‭16:33‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

The Word of God tells us to cheer up and not to worry.

Why? Answer: for we have overcome the world. So whatever maybe the challenges in our lives now the Word of God is telling us we have overcome it.

The question is how?. How can God be telling us we have overcome our challenges when we can see them standing before us and also feels the pressure that comes with it.

Answer:

For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith.” 1 John‬ ‭5:4‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

We overcome our trials and temptations by Jesus Christ who is our faith not by our own ability. Our absolute reliance, trust and dependence on what Jesus Christ is done on our behalf gives us victory over the trials we go through.

A great example is:

For indeed we have had the glad tidings [Gospel of God] proclaimed to us just as truly as they [the Israelites of old did when the good news of deliverance from bondage came to them]; but the message they heard did not benefit them, because it was not mixed with faith (with the leaning of the entire personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness) by those who heard it; neither were they united in faith with the ones [Joshua and Caleb] who heard (did believe). For we who have believed (adhered to and trusted in and relied on God) do enter that rest, in accordance with His declaration that those [who did not believe] should not enter when He said, As I swore in My wrath, They shall not enter My rest; and this He said although [His] works had been completed and prepared [and waiting for all who would believe] from the foundation of the world. [Ps. 95:11.]” Hebrews‬ ‭4:2-3‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

God wants us to enter into rest base on His Word for our lives. So that through His Holy Spirit, God Almighty will bring into manifestation that which He promised us.

In place of being anxious Jesus said to us His disciples to cheer up.

Today cheer up for you have overcome the world and all its problems.

The Lord is saying to His people “Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice. [Acts 18:10.] Behold, all they who are enraged and inflamed against you shall be put to shame and confounded; they who strive against you shall be as nothing and shall perish. You shall seek those who contend with you but shall not find them; they who war against you shall be as nothing, as nothing at all. For I the Lord your God hold your right hand; I am the Lord, Who says to you, Fear not; I will help you!” Isaiah‬ ‭41:10-13‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Cheer up….Cheer up…..Cheer up in Jesus Christ mighty name.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father I thank You for Your word. I bind the spirit of fear and intimidation and I loose power, love and sound mind. I choose to cheer up in Jesus name. Amen
