GOD told Abram: “Leave your country, your family, and your father’s home for a land that I will show you. I’ll make you a great nation and bless you. I’ll make you famous; you’ll be a blessing. I’ll bless those who bless you; those who curse you I’ll curse. All the families of the Earth will be blessed through you.””
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭12:1-3‬ ‭MSG‬‬

When God called Abraham He blessed him. Thus, Abraham’s problem was not the blessing anymore. He focused more on knowing who God is more than anything in his life.

The Lord said to Abram after Lot had left him, Lift up now your eyes and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward; For all the land which you see I will give to you and to your posterity forever. [Acts 7:5.] And I will make your descendants like the dust of the earth, so that if a man could count the dust of the earth, then could your descendants also be counted. [Gen. 28:14.] Arise, walk through the land, the length of it and the breadth of it, for I will give it to you. Then Abram moved his tent and came and dwelt among the oaks or terebinths of Mamre, which are at Hebron, and built there an altar to the Lord.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭13:14-18‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

In verse 18 Abraham built an alter to worship God. Whenever we desire to know God He will reveal to us His covenant of abundance and restoration. We see that Abraham magnified His relationship with God more than anything else and He was so rich. He also refused to let His or any other activities in his to replace His relationship with God. He feared God more than anything in His life.

The secret [of the sweet, satisfying companionship] of the Lord have they who fear (revere and worship) Him, and He will show them His covenant and reveal to them its [deep, inner] meaning. [John 7:17; 15:15.]”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭25:14‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Let’s pray together: Heavenly Father thank You for Your Word. Draw me close to You and help by Your Spirit to always desire Your presence more than my necessary food in Jesus name. Amen
