The Egyptians pursued them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh and his horsemen and his army, and overtook them encamped at the [Red] Sea by Pi-hahiroth, in front of Baal-zephon. When Pharaoh drew near, the Israelites looked up, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them; and the Israelites were exceedingly frightened and cried out to the Lord. And they said to Moses, Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you treated us this way and brought us out of Egypt? Did we not tell you in Egypt, Let us alone; let us serve the Egyptians? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness. Moses told the people, Fear not; stand still (firm, confident, undismayed) and see the salvation of the Lord which He will work for you today. For the Egyptians you have seen today you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest. The Lord said to Moses, Why do you cry to Me? Tell the people of Israel to go forward!” Exodus 14:9-15 AMPC

Our adversary uses our circumstances to stop us from praising God. Whenever we talk about what the enemy is doing well give praise to the devil.  But in the midst of all our trials, God Almighty wants us to magnify what God is promised us in His word or magnify what Jesus is already done.

Our circumstances can always change but God’s word never change. Therefore, instead of focusing on what the devil is trying to do, should concentrate on what God’s word says and learn to allow it to dwell in us richly in all wisdom.

For example:  God’s word says “stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.” Now God Almighty wants the word “salvation ” to dwell in us richly in all wisdom and  in all understanding for us to effectively praise Him. It’s what God said that’s going to change our situation. Is not how much we worry or live in fear that will change our situation.

For I am not ashamed of the Gospel (good news) of Christ, for it is God’s power working unto salvation [for deliverance from eternal death] to everyone who believes with a personal trust and a confident surrender and firm reliance, to the Jew first and also to the Greek,” Romans 1:16 AMPC

It’s about time we change our attitude towards God’s word and start to praise Him for His word. And we will begin to experience the victory wrought for us in Christ.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father I thank You for Your. Thank You for Your goodness and mercy. Thank You also for Your salvation in Christ in Jesus name. Amen.
