I wait for the Lord, I expectantly wait, and in His word do I hope. I am looking and waiting for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, I say, more than watchmen for the morning.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭130:5-6‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

The morning of our scripture above speaks of light. We all know that without light we cannot see. Light enable us to be effective in every aspect of our daily living.

The Bible calls Jesus Christ the true Light that lighted upon every man in the world.

There it was–the true Light [was then] coming into the world [the genuine, perfect, steadfast Light] that illumines every person. [Isa. 49:6.]” ‭‭John‬ ‭1:9‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Therefore, without God’s light beaming in the hearts of men,we all will experience darkness though we have natural eyes.

Just as the sun gives light to the plant in it own accord without the plant begging. It is the same way God is willing to shine His light in our hearts as we voluntarily wait on Him. It is in God’s ability to light our candle(spirit or heart)daily so that we may constantly walk on the pathway which He has ordained for us.

For God Who said, Let light shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts so as [to beam forth] the Light for the illumination of the knowledge of the majesty and glory of God [as it is manifest in the Person and is revealed] in the face of Jesus Christ (the Messiah). [Gen. 1:3.]” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Whenever, we meditate on His word in combination with prayer as we wait on Him . The Holy Spirit will shine in our hearts the light of God into our circumstances and darkness will be expelled .

As you wait on God in studying His word and prayer expect His light to shine in your present situation in Jesus name.

Let’s pray together: Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Word. Let your light beam in my heart as I wait on You in Jesus name. Amen
