I WAITED patiently and expectantly for the Lord; and He inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up out of a horrible pit [a pit of tumult and of destruction], out of the miry clay (froth and slime), and set my feet upon a rock, steadying my steps and establishing my goings. And He has put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many shall see and fear (revere and worship) and put their trust and confident reliance in the Lord. [Ps. 5:11.]” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭40:1-3‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

The key in our above text is waiting patiently not waiting grudgingly. There is a difference between waiting patiently because you want to and also enjoying the process while waiting and waiting because you are compelled to wait and you are not doing it with joy.

Also, waiting patiently on God will cause you to always experience an inner suffering. But the only way in which you experience the blessings while waiting is when you do it from a free heart, willingly and joyfully though you experience suffering in the process.

And then the Lord will incline His ears unto you and will deliver you out of the pit and give you a new song.

As you wait on the Lord this day let the joy of the Lord be your strength.

Let’s pray together: Heavenly Father thank You for Your Word. With Joy I do wait on you knowing you are my salvation in Jesus name. Amen
