You are snared with the words of your lips, you are caught by the speech of your mouth.” Proverbs 6:2 AMP
Many have removed God’s protection over their life by their own confession. One of the ways in which we remove this covering is when we talk contrary to God’s word based on our circumstances. The devil uses our circumstances to entrap us with our own words.
The devil knows God Almighty is our protection. That’s why he uses situations to take us out of our protection through doubt and causing us to believe in his lies by causing us to speak thoughtlessly out from God’s word.
Have You not put a hedge about him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have conferred prosperity and happiness upon him in the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.” Job 1:10 AMP
That’s why we should learn to control our tongue so that our own words will not entrap us.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life]. [Matt. 12:37.]” Proverbs 18:21 AMP
We should learn not to talk thoughtlessly. For our words shape our future. In other words, if we want to experience a turnaround in your life, we must learn to talk right and act right in line with God’s word.
