You have heard that it was said, You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy; [Lev. 19:18; Ps. 139:21, 22.] But I tell you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, [Prov. 25:21, 22.] To show that you are the children of your Father Who is in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the wicked and on the good, and makes the rain fall upon the upright and the wrongdoers [alike]. For if you love those who love you, what reward can you have? Do not even the tax collectors do that? And if you greet only your brethren, what more than others are you doing? Do not even the Gentiles (the heathen) do that?” Matthew 5:43-47 AMP
Love is not the absence of evil. Actually, the fact that love exists is because evil exists. Walking in love does not mean evil will not come to you. But the solution for your moving forward, destroying evil and overcoming evil, is love.
When we don’t practice the God kind of love the evil forces which battles with the people of this world will rule over us. That’s why Jesus Christ our Lord commanded us to love our enemies.
He (Jesus Christ) experienced the same for His enemies and chose to demonstrate the God kind of love by praying for forgiveness.
And Jesus prayed, Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. And they divided His garments and distributed them by casting lots for them. [Ps. 22:18.]” Luke 23:34 AMP
This is a prophetic prayer. We all were in this prayer when Jesus ask God Almighty to forgive His enemies.
Therefore will I divide Him a portion with the great [kings and rulers], and He shall divide the spoil with the mighty, because He poured out His life unto death, and [He let Himself] be regarded as a criminal and be numbered with the transgressors; yet He bore [and took away] the sin of many and made intercession for the transgressors (the rebellious). [Luke 22:37.]” Isaiah 53:12 AMP
The God kind of love intercedes and pray for enemies.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Word. I practice Your love today by praying and interceding for my enemies and choose to give them love irrespective of how they treated me in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen.
