I give you a new commandment: that you should love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too should love one another. By this shall all [men] know that you are My disciples, if you love one another [if you keep on showing love among yourselves].”John 13:34-35 AMP

We noticed that our Lord Jesus Christ said: “We should love one another as He has love us.” The question is: How did He(Jesus Christ our Lord ) showed His love for us?

While we were yet in weakness [powerless to help ourselves], at the fitting time Christ died for (in behalf of) the ungodly. Now it is an extraordinary thing for one to give his life even for an upright man, though perhaps for a noble and lovable and generous benefactor someone might even dare to die. But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us.” Romans 5:6-8 AMP

Most of the time we want to give love only to those that love us the same way. Our above text from the book of Romans says ” Jesus loved us in our sinful state or while we were His enemies before we accepted and acknowledge that He paid the price for us on the cross and also accepted Him as our Lord and Savior.

This is the “as I have loved you love of God demonstrated to us”. And God Almighty in Jesus Christ mighty name wants us to do the same.

Today go ahead and demonstrate the “As I have loved you love of God” in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father I thank, You for Your Word. Help me by Your Spirit to share your Love for me to my enemies and all that have done me wrong in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen. Nederlandse vertaling
