But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us.” Romans 5:8 AMP

True Love in Christ does not wait for an apology before it forgives or let go. After all, when you forgive or give love to others, you are helping your ownself from not getting bitter. It’s better to stay free from bitterness than to harbor bitterness. Because bitterness will eat you up like cancer till it destroys you. Bitterness is the worst sickness one can ever have.

That’s why Jesus Christ forgave us while we were still sinners. The sinners in this text is clearly expressed in the book of Ephesians.

AND YOU [He made alive], when you were dead (slain) by [your] trespasses and sins In which at one time you walked [habitually]. You were following the course and fashion of this world [were under the sway of the tendency of this present age], following the prince of the power of the air. [You were obedient to and under the control of] the [demon] spirit that still constantly works in the sons of disobedience [the careless, the rebellious, and the unbelieving, who go against the purposes of God]. Among these we as well as you once lived and conducted ourselves in the passions of our flesh [our behavior governed by our corrupt and sensual nature], obeying the impulses of the flesh and the thoughts of the mind [our cravings dictated by our senses and our dark imaginings]. We were then by nature children of [God’s] wrath and heirs of [His] indignation, like the rest of mankind. But God–so rich is He in His mercy! Because of and in order to satisfy the great and wonderful and intense love with which He loved us, Even when we were dead (slain) by [our own] shortcomings and trespasses, He made us alive together in fellowship and in union with Christ; [He gave us the very life of Christ Himself, the same new life with which He quickened Him, for] it is by grace (His favor and mercy which you did not deserve) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation). And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One).” Ephesians 2:1-6 AMP

So Jesus Christ our Lord did not wait for an apology first before He forgave us. That’s why we must do same. Due to the fact that not all the people that did you wrong will apologise for it. Jesus Christ our Lord  paid the price for all in the world more than 2000 years ago, yet not all have repented from sin. So waiting for an apology before you walk in love or forgive or let go of what someone did against you will only destroy you and your peace.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father I thank You for Your Word. Thank You for knowledge. Help me to stay Your Love irrespective of people’s attitude, in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen.
