Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.” Ephesians 4:1-3 NLT

The Holy Spirit through Apostle Paul wrote this letter to us when Paul was in jail. He (The Holy Spirit) admonishes us through the Apostle to learn to tolerate one another’s faults. The love of God is patient and is kind.

One of the reason why we find it difficult to deal with people is because we don’t give room for their mistakes. People that don’t tolerate mistakes of others are perfect in their own sight. They are to self-righteous.

God Almighty wants us to deal with others in the light of His Word. That is the way He handles us in our faults.

We all do make mistakes sometimes and God Almighty is always merciful to give us another chance because He does not want any of us to perish. So He (God Almighty ) gives room for our faults to help us grow into maturity. Every child must grow but in the growing process we do make mistakes.

Not that I have now attained [this ideal], or have already been made perfect, but I press on to lay hold of (grasp) and make my own, that for which Christ Jesus (the Messiah) has laid hold of me and made me His own.” Philippians 3:12 AMP

No one was born mature, we grow into maturity.

The Lord does not delay and is not tardy or slow about what He promises, according to some people’s conception of slowness, but He is long-suffering (extraordinarily patient) toward you, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should turn to repentance.”2 Peter 3:9 AMP

One of the fruit of our human spirit is patient. And patience is a great key in walking in God Kind of love towards one another, knowing fully well that God Almighty is always patient with us.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father I thank You for Your Word. Help me by Your Spirit to learn to tolerate the faults of others, knowing that You do tolerate my own faults on a daily base to help me grow in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen.
