Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13 KJV

We live in a time when people are so self seeking. Many think that life is only about them. They are so called Christians but selfish in all they do and say.

Jesus Christ our Lord came to demonstrate to us the greater love. He called it greater love due to the fact that most people are still operating in the lesser kind of love. The lesser kind of love thinks everything must be about me to make sense. It is selfish.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” John 3:16-17 KJV

Jesus Christ our Lord came for us. He did not come to save Himself but for us. For greater love seeks the best for others. Jesus Christ came to bring salvation to all men. It was not about Jesus. It was about you and me in Jesus.

Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;” 1 Corinthians 13:5 KJV

Greater love is never self seeking but lay down it’s life for others to enjoy. Today start practising the greater love of Jesus Christ; by laying down your life for all men. When you start learning to seek God’s interest in people first; before your own agenda many things in your life will start falling in place in the name of Jesus Christ.

Heavenly Father,

I thank You for Your Word. Help me to lay down my life on a daily base for the best of others. Let the greater love of Christ rule and dominate me in all I do and say in Jesus mighty name. Amen
