Therefore we do not become discouraged (utterly spiritless, exhausted, and wearied out through fear). Though our outer man is [progressively] decaying and wasting away, yet our inner self is being [progressively] renewed day after day. For our light, momentary affliction (this slight distress of the passing hour) is ever more and more abundantly preparing and producing and achieving for us an everlasting weight of glory [beyond all measure, excessively surpassing all comparisons and all calculations, a vast and transcendent glory and blessedness never to cease!],
2 Corinthians 4:16-17 AMP
Persecution conforms us to the image of Christ. Yes our flesh maybe groaning because of the outward challenges and trials but our spirit man is being conformed into the very image of Jesus Christ reflecting His glory in our flesh. God Almighty is destined us to be conformed or look like Jesus Christ Himself. So that all men will see and know we belong to God.
For those whom He foreknew [of whom He was aware and loved beforehand], He also destined from the beginning [foreordaining them] to be molded into the image of His Son [and share inwardly His likeness], that He might become the firstborn among many brethren”. Romans 8:29 AMP
I call this the molding process into what God Almighty originally predestined for us.
Let’s pray together:
Heavenly Father I thank You for Your word. Thank you for molding me into Christ image in Jesus Christ mighty name . Amen
