“When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon (Peter), Put out into the deep [water], and lower your nets for a haul. And Simon (Peter) answered, Master, we toiled all night [exhaustingly] and caught nothing [in our nets]. But on the ground of Your word, I will lower the nets [again].”

We limit God in our lives because our mind is not renewed with God’s Word. It is our carnal way of thinking that causes us to limit the work of God in our lives.When Jesus Spoke to Peter to cast his nets again Peter confessed his challenge before he obeyed. The reason why he(Peter) said what he said is because he did not believe. And eventhough he later on obeyed Jesus he did not fully do what was commanded and for this reason the net brake. Jesus told him to lower his nets but Peter lower a net instead of nets.

“For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:6-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Bible admonished us to renew our thinking with God’s Word. The reason being is a mind that is not renewed makes it impossible for us to submit fully to God . Peter is a good example.

Peter was in the past but Jesus was in the present and pointing Peter to what God wants to do now.

“NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:1‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Many of us today are unable to receive what God’s has for us because we dwell a lot in our past failures and experiences.Yesterday ends yesterday. The God we serve is a now God, so dwelling into our challenges of the past causes us not to allow God to perform the now miracles in our lives. We must learn to forget the past and press into the future.

“I do not consider, brethren, that I have captured and made it my own [yet]; but one thing I do [it is my one aspiration]: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3:13‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

It’s time to forget the past and believe God again for a now miracle in Jesus name.

Heavenly Father thank You for Your Word. I trust you for a now miracle (be specific )in my life in Jesus’ name. Amen
