And listen! Your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is now the sixth month with her who was called barren. For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment.” Luke‬ ‭1:36-37‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Most of the time we limit God in our lives base on what people call us or our circumstances. We accept the lies of men, our circumstances and embrace their as the truth. People called Elizabeth barren but she was already pregnant for six months. Our confidence should be base on God’s word and not on our circumstances or what people say. It is what God has promised us in His word that counts not our circumstances. Every challenge we maybe facing in our lives is subjected to God’s word.

He is the Rock, His work is perfect, for all His ways are law and justice. A God of faithfulness without breach or deviation, just and right is He.” Deuteronomy‬ ‭32:4‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

We as believers must learn to take God at His word and put into practice what He says. God is faithful and Just to perform in our lives that which He has promised us in His word.

You shall serve the Lord your God; He shall bless your bread and water, and I will take sickness from your midst. None shall lose her young by miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.” ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭23:25-26‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

We should focus our faith on God’s word and not on our circumstances. Focusing on our circumstances limits God in our lives. That is why we must learn to hold fast to the promises of God for our lives irrespective of our circumstances or what people say.

Remember Elizabeth was already pregnant while people were calling her barren. We all are pregnant with God’s Ability (The Holy Spirit) who has the power and ability to turn every barrenness in our lives into a fruitful field. In other words, our focus should be on the greater One in us and what He is able to do with our lives by yielding to Him and not on our own ability.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Word and also thank You for turning every barrenness in my life into a fruitful field by your spirit in Jesus name. Amen
