They told Moses, We came to the land to which you sent us; surely it flows with milk and honey. This is its fruit. But the people who dwell there are strong, and the cities are fortified and very large; moreover, there we saw the sons of Anak [of great stature and courage]. Amalek dwells in the land of the South (the Negeb); the Hittite, the Jebusite, and the Amorite dwell in the hill country; and the Canaanite dwells by the sea and along by the side of the Jordan [River].” Numbers‬ ‭13:27-29‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

One of the measure strategy of satan to cause us to limit God in our lives is to cause us to function in fear. Fear is a spirit that must be confronted by every believer before we can partake of the fruits of the land, which God is given and called us to inherit. Fear means unchanged. Many are afraid to step into the new things God had for them due to the fact that they are uncertain of the outcome.

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

In the case of the children of Israelites, they had the word of Faith given to them and instead of trusting God’s faithfulness they relied on themselves and soon forget how God delivered them out of Egypt.

We are not supposed to function under the umbrella of fear, but under God’s power, love and soundness of mind because we do not live, talk, walk or function on our own faith, but we operate by the faith which is of God. In other words we function based on what Jesus has done on our behalf, not on what we are capable of doing. What a relief!

Our victory is rest on the victory Christ has wrought for us in death, burial and resurrection and nothing else. We are not victims but victors.

For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:4‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

We are born into victory not defeat. That is why when we are attacked by sickness on our body or having some financial hardship or going through any personal challenge, we do not need to fret because our faith is not on our challenge, but is resting on the finish work of Christ on our behalf. For this reason we must learn to say what God says about us over our situation trusting His faithfulness to perform what He has promised.

Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!] [Josh. 1:5.] So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm [I will not fear or dread or be terrified]. What can man do to me? [Ps. 27:1;118:6.]”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13:5-6‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Today take authority over that situation in your life which the enemy has been using to intimidate you and bind the spirit of fear and loose soundness of mind and then speak the glory of God over your situation which is His Word trusting God for a turn around in Jesus name.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father I thank You for Your Word. I refuse to fret and I release Your glory over my circumstances in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
