And now behold, the men of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, whom You would not let Israel invade when they came from the land of Egypt, and whom they turned from and did not destroy–[Deut. 2:9.] Behold, they reward us by coming to drive us out of Your possession which You have given us to inherit. O our God, will You not exercise judgment upon them? For we have no might to stand against this great company that is coming against us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.” 2 Chronicles 20:10-12 AMP

What has destroyed many people nowadays is high-mindedness. We know too much for someone else to teach us anything. This is the story of a great King Jehoshaphat. A man of war. But in His trying times, he humbled himself before God in prayer. Now we must not wait for things to go wrong before we obey God.

The point I want to draw our attention is verse twelve. He refused to take matters in His hands. He acknowledged the fact that they are weak without God. He also acknowledged their lack of insight without God to handle the issue. And he also showed absolute dependence on God to change their circumstances. His eyes was on God not on His circumstances.

Many are defeated in their walk with God Almighty because they missed these five vital ingredients in their daily life. These five great keys of king Jehoshaphat is called humility. He submitted himself to God Almighty, for Him (God) to speak or give guidance before he does anything.

Now in our days people always want to tell God Almighty on how to do things in their life, instead of God Almighty leading them.

When we learn to submit ourselves to God. He (God Almighty ) is ever ready to take up our battles and grant us the victory.

If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 AMP

One of the ways we submit ourselves to God is by giving ourselves unto prayer and studying our Word.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father I thank You for Your Word. Help me to always aligned myself to Your will through prayer and studying of Your Word in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen.
