Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” 1 Peter 5:8-9 KJV
The Word of God is the Word of faith and the Word of God is God. The Bible says: ” faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.” So we can’t exercise faith without hearing and surrendering or submitting ourselves with what we hear. Until we first submit ourselves to God’s word. Then we can resist or exercise authority over satan and his cohorts.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” 1 James 4:7 KJV
We can’t reverse the order. That’s why many born again children of God Almighty suffers defeat. For example:
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” Malachi 3:10 KJV
We may be going through some financial Challenges in our lives. God made a provision or solution for that in His word. Until we submit to that scripture then we can’t exercise faith to resist the devil that attacks our finances. We can all say we don’t have the money to submit to that. God knows you don’t have.
He did not say tithe because you have millions in your bank account. He said tithe from what you have received and I will bless and increase your income. He is the one that give seed to the sower and bread to the eater. So even the little we have is from Him. As we submit to the scripture of tithing, we can boldly say to the devil get out from my finances for I am a tither and also I command financial abundance to come to me in Jesus Christ mighty Name.
That’s how we exercise authority to resist satan. Victory over satan begins first by submitting to God Almighty.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Word. I resist satan’s attacks against my life not to submit to You in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen.
