And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” John 14:13-14 KJV

Our Lord Jesus gave us his name to use in placing demands for our needs. The question is: Do you use the Name at all or do you believe in it?

For example, when we go to the supermarket to buy food we use money to get what you want. So is the Name of Jesus given to all who believe to place a demand on their needs. Today, exercise your authority by using that Name.

In the time of Moses God gave him the rod to use and demonstrate His power. The same is the Name of Jesus to us now. Quit complaining and use the Name, results will follow.

Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.  And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.” Acts 3:6-8 KJV

Here we see an example of using the Name. This man at the gate of beautiful was a begger during his whole life. He asked for money from Peter and Co. But money was not the answer to his real need. So his need was met by Peter using what He had: the Name of Jesus.

Today apply the same principle, believing you will see results in the Name of Jesus. Many are holding Jesus tight instead of releasing Him in the situations they face in life. Today our Lord Jesus is saying: “Release me by using My Name, believe in it and I will do what I promise you.”

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father,
I thank you for your word. From today I refuse to hold Jesus back but I choose to release Him into (name your situation ). In Jesus name, Amen.
