The Spirit Himself [thus] testifies together with our own spirit, [assuring us] that we are children of God.” Romans 8:16 AMP
The same Holy Spirit that testifies that we are God’s children, is always with us to help us to be sensitive to respond and also receive from God. Most of the time we’re so passive when it comes to responding to the things of God or receiving from God. Due to the fact that we have a natural tendency to understand things first with our mind before responding.
Sometimes we can even go to a great meeting of believers where the move of God’s Spirit is so present and still be very passive to receive or respond to God. Sometimes we even listen to a great Word from God Almighty and we we’re shouting for joy because of the Word and the next day we acted as if God Almighty said nothing. We become passive and irresponsive to that Word.
The answer to this is very simple. It’s the Holy Spirit in our spirit that helps us to respond and receive from God Almighty at all times by faith in His Word. That’s why praying in the Spirit will help us to position ourselves to respond and receive from God Almighty by following the witness (gentle prompting) of the Holy Spirit in us.
But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit.” Jude 1:20 AMP
God Almighty always wants us to build up ourselves by praying in The Spirit wherever we go so that we can easily respond and receive from Him when He speaks or as the Holy Spirit leads.
Let’s pray together:
Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Word. I make myself spiritually sensitive today even as I pray in The Spirit with the help of the Holy Spirit in Jesus Christ mighty Name, Amen.
